From National Action Plan to Implementation: Data and Evidence for Action
The UK Fleming Fund and the International Centre for Antimicrobial Solutions (ICARS) are jointly organising a 1-hour break-out session entitled ‘From NAP to Implementation: Data and Evidence for Action’ at 11:15 on the second day.
The session will kick off with two short presentations to provide participants with an update on Fleming Fund activity and an introduction to ICARS. Then the Pakistan Country Case Study will be presented, followed by an open discussion and Q&A with a panel.
The panel consists of
- Dr Toby Leslie, Fleming Fund Global Technical Lead, Mott MacDonald,
- Dr Muhammad Salman, Pakistan AMR Focal Point National Institute of Health
- Dr Robert Skov, ICARS Secretariat
The panel discussion will provide an opportunity for participants to discuss a real world example of how AMR surveillance can be strengthened in a low resource setting and will focus on how initiatives like the Fleming Fund generating data and ICARS conducting policy relevant research can collaborate with countries to tackle AMR.
Professor Dame Sally Davies, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for England and Chief Medical Advisor to the UK government will moderate the session.
